The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place from 18th-25 January. For 2021, it has been prepared by the Monastic Community of Grandchamp in Switzerland. The theme that was chosen, “Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit”, is based on John 15:1-17 and expresses Grandchamp Community’s vocation to prayer, reconciliation and unity…
We join in wishing all connected with St. John’s Parish a very happy, healthy and holy New Year.
May God bless and protect all of us in 2021.
Complimentary Parish Calendars are available at the back of our churches. Please feel free to call in and collect your copy.
Pope Francis has appointed the Most Rev. Dermot Farrell as Archbishop of Dublin.
Archbishop-elect Farrell replaces the Most Rev. Diarmuid Martin whose request for retirement has been accepted by the Pope and is effective from today.
All at St. John’s Parish wish Dr. Farrell every good wish and God’s blessing in his new appointment.
In keeping with HSE Pandemic Guidelines our churches will be closed during services. The Masses at St. John’s Church will be broadcast online at www.stjohnskilkenny.com and on radio at 106.8fm. Outside Mass times the churches will be open for private prayer and visits to the crib.
Abiding by the restrictions and guidelines placed upon us we look forward to welcoming as many as possible to our Christmas Masses. We advise those who are in any way vulnerable to remain at home and join us on our weblink (www.stjohnskilkenny.com) or on radio at 106.8fm.
Please note: accommodation in our churches is strictly…
