Youth Development

The Youth Group welcomes senior primary school pupils and all secondary school pupils to become involved in special Liturgies. They also participate in activities like mime, drama and music for the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.

O’Loughlin Gaels G.A.A. Club is situated in St John’s Park on the Hebron Road. The club caters for all ages from Under Sixes to Senior level. It boasts a very fine gym and handball alley. The newly refurbished clubrooms are ideal for functions such as Table Quizzes, 21st Birthday Parties etc. Tel: 056 776 2074

O’Loughlin Gaels Camogie Club, which is situated in St John’s Park, caters for girls from Under Tens to Junior Level.

What’s available for younger children?

Children up to fourth class are invited to participate in the Saturday evening 6.30 p.m. mass.  Through the activities of the Junior Children’s Liturgy Group they become involved in the celebration of this mass. Tel: 087 656 7814

Boys and girls, from the three church areas, are invited to become Altar Servers for masses and other church ceremonies. Tel: 056 772 1072

It is the policy of the Parish Pastoral Council that any parish organisation involved with children maintain the highest possible standard of care in order to promote their well-being and to safeguard them from harm. The national Child Protection Policy is strictly adhered to in all activities at all times.
