You sent him to us here in the Diocese of Ossory.
We thank you for his willingness to answer this new call, and we ask your blessing on this new chapter of his ministry.
Grant him, Lord, the wisdom of a true shepherd — to know his flock, to walk gently among us, and to lead with humility and courage.
Give him strength for the challenges he will face, patience for the slow work of building trust, and joy in the many blessings that ministry brings.
We pray for the priests of this diocese, that they may support him as brothers in service.
We pray for religious and lay faithful alike, that we may welcome him with open hearts and work alongside him in building up your Kingdom here in Ossory and beyond.
Mary, Our Lady, who said yes to God’s call without knowing where it would lead, watch over Bishop Ger as he begins this new journey.
St. Kieran, patron of this diocese, intercede for him and for all of us gathered under his care.
May the Holy Spirit rest upon him as it rested on the apostles, filling him with courage, gentleness, and love for the people entrusted to him.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
